Registration procedure

All available places have been filled, so you can now register on the waiting list.
The opening of the waiting list does not guarantee that places will become available.
Please read carefully all the steps and supporting documents to be provided before starting your registration.
Registration for the 59th International Competition for Young Conductors (2025) is only possible online via the Festival’s ticketing website.

The registration process consists of several steps that must be completed in one go.
The final registration is only taken into account when the payment is validated and the supporting documents are uploaded: until we have received your convocation (step 5), your place is not reserved.
The official opening of registration is scheduled for Thursday January, 16, noon (Paris time).
Registration will close gradually, depending on the number of participants in each city/date/time slot, with a final closing date of Thursday January, 23, noon (Paris time).
Documents to be provided
All documents must be provided in jpeg OR pdf format, with a maximum size of 2Mo.
- NEW: application form to download from our website
- copy of an official identity document – passport or ID card
- recent photo portrait: less than 2 months old, framed on the face, front view
A recent selfie is preferable to an old photo; this portrait will only be used by the jury to identify you more quickly, it will not be used for communication documents.

How do I fill in the application form?
The registration form is a fillable PDF document. Once you have downloaded the document, you must complete it digitally, add your photo and save it. This form replaces the curriculum vitae and must be completed carefully.
How long do I have to register?
Once you have selected a time slot, you have 10 minutes to make your payment. After this time, the slot will be put back on sale.
How long do I have to download the required documents after I have paid my registration fee?
You must upload your documents as soon as you receive the email “document en attente / pending document” (24h maximum).
I do not receive the automatic emails
Remember to check your spam. The emails come from the address venteenligne@festival-besancon.com
Check that the payment has been validated. Check that the supporting documents are not too heavy or in an unacceptable format.
I can't make the payment / my payment is refused
Check that you are using an authorised method of payment: Visa, MasterCard / PayPal transfer.
Check that your bank account has sufficient funds or contact your bank to find out about any transfer limits (particularly abroad, depending on your geographical location).
Please note: even if you have created your account and chosen your preselection location, the registration is not taken into account until the payment is validated and the supporting documents are uploaded; your place is therefore not reserved.
The city / day / time you want is not available
We have no back-up spaces: if a town / day / time is no longer displayed, it means that there are no more spaces available.
Sometimes baskets may be released and places for certain slots may be put back on sale. Don’t hesitate to update the page if the slot you want is shown as full.
Is it possible to see how many places are left per time slot?
To find out how many places are left in a time slot, select the city and then click on the desired slot (a slot with a cross in front of it means that it is full).
The number of places available is displayed below the date and time, next to the ‘ticket’ pictogram.
I want to change city / day / time slot
You can contact Elodie Farges (contact in the registration confirmation email) to express your wish for a change.
We will ONLY be able to respond to your request if a place becomes available or if another candidate makes a similar request.
As a reminder, registration fees are not refunded in case of cancellation by the candidate.
